Plum Blossom Tea Set Feature
Plum blossoms have 5 petals, which corresponds to 5 blessings : happiness; luck; longevity; an easy path; and peace. It blossoms at the end of winter and is the first indicator of the Spring to come, hence it also represents new life and hope. In Chinese poetry, plum blossoms choose to stand alone in the cold winter, unyielding and proud.
Hand painted Plum Blossom Tea Set : 1 tea making pot and 2 cups. White glaze with blue Plum blossom pattern.
Tea making pot is 8.5cm high, with a diameter of 9cm (3.3ins in height and 3.5ins in diameter). Wide mouth and stainless steel strainer in the pot allows for easy addition and extraction of tea leaves.
Cups are 3.8cm high with a diameter of 8cm (1.5ins in height and 3.1ins in diameter). The inside of the cups are coated with a white glaze and a single plum blossom twig design.
Tea pot capacity is 8oz, cup capacity is 2oz.
